5. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK/Switzerland, Where Applicable)

If you are located in the EEA, Switzerland, or the UK, we process personal information only when we have a lawful basis to do so. Depending on the context, those bases may include:

  • Contract: processing necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract or to perform a contract with you or your organization;
  • Legitimate Interests: processing necessary for our legitimate interests, such as operating our business, securing our systems, improving our Site and services, responding to inquiries, preventing fraud, and managing customer relationships, provided those interests are not overridden by your fundamental rights and freedoms;
  • Consent: where we ask for your consent, such as for certain marketing communications or non-essential cookies and similar technologies;
  • Legal Obligation: where we must process data to comply with legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, or law enforcement obligations; and

7. MSP Vendor Disclosure and Service Provider Categories

Because we are a managed services provider ("MSP"), our operations may involve a broader ecosystem of business and technology vendors than a basic brochure website. Depending on the service line, project scope, and customer needs, the categories of service providers we may use can include:

  • Cloud and productivity platforms (for example, hosted email, collaboration, identity, file sharing, and cloud infrastructure providers);
  • Professional services automation (PSA), ticketing, documentation, and remote monitoring/management (RMM) platforms;
  • Cybersecurity vendors, including endpoint detection and response (EDR), managed detection and response (MDR), security awareness training, email security, DNS/web filtering, vulnerability management, logging, SIEM, MDR/XDR, identity monitoring, and backup/disaster recovery platforms;
  • Communications vendors, including VoIP, SMS, call routing, webinar, and meeting platforms;
  • Payment, accounting, procurement, shipping, and tax vendors;
  • Contract, quoting, e-signature, and proposal vendors;
  • Customer support, CRM, chat, contact form, and marketing automation tools; and
  • Website analytics, hosting, content delivery, and cookie consent management tools.

Specific vendors may change over time. We do not publish a static list of every service provider in this policy because our vendor stack may evolve, but we require vendors to handle data in accordance with contractual obligations and applicable law. If you need more information about a specific category of provider or, where applicable, a customer-facing subprocessor list, please contact us at info@premier-technologies.com.

8. No Sale of Personal Information / No Sharing for Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising

Premier Technologies does not sell personal information, and we do not rent or trade personal information we collect. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as that phrase is commonly used in state privacy laws. If our practices change in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy before doing so and provide any notice or choice required by applicable law.

9. Cookies, Tracking Technologies, and Consent Choices

We use cookies and similar technologies, such as pixels, tags, local storage, server logs, and consent preference tools, to operate the Site, remember preferences, analyze traffic, maintain security, and improve performance. We do not use cookies to sell personal information, and we do not enable non-essential cookies for visitors in jurisdictions that require prior consent unless and until the visitor gives that consent.

For a detailed explanation of what cookies we use, why we use them, how long they last, and how you can manage your preferences, please review the Cookie Policy below.

10. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required by applicable law, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or other approved safeguards. If we participate in, or rely on vendors that participate in, a recognized transfer framework for applicable data transfers, we may describe that in a supplemental notice or contract documentation.

11. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide services, maintain records, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect against fraud or abuse, and preserve evidence where appropriate. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the context in which it was collected. For example:

  • Contact form or inquiry submissions may be retained for follow-up, sales, service history, and recordkeeping;
  • Server logs and security logs may be retained for security, diagnostics, and incident response;
  • Contract, billing, and tax records may be retained for the periods required by applicable law or prudent business practice; and
  • Cookie consent records may be retained to demonstrate compliance with consent requirements.

12. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Examples may include access controls, authentication measures, encryption in transit where appropriate, logging, vendor management, backups, and security monitoring. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Your Privacy Rights

A. Rights for EEA/UK/Swiss Individuals

  • Access: request confirmation of whether we process your personal information and receive a copy where applicable;
  • Rectification: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Erasure: request deletion of personal information in certain circumstances;
  • Restriction: request restriction of processing in certain circumstances;
  • Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing;
  • Portability: request a portable copy of certain information where applicable; and
  • Withdraw Consent: withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority or data protection regulator.

B. Rights for U.S. Residents

Depending on your state of residence and applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, deletion of, or correction of certain personal information, as well as information about categories of personal information collected, used, and disclosed. Because we do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, opt-out rights related to sale or sharing are generally not applicable to our current website practices.

C. How to Exercise Rights

To exercise privacy rights, please contact us at info@premier-technologies.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding to certain requests. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights provided by applicable law.

14. Marketing Communications

You may opt out of receiving marketing emails from us by using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us at info@premier-technologies.com. Transactional or service-related messages may still be sent when necessary to respond to your request, manage your account, or provide services.

15. Children's Privacy

Our Site is intended for business and general audience use and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the Site. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

16. External Sites and Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, portals, videos, maps, or services. We are not responsible for the privacy, security, or content practices of third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing information to them.

17. Automated Decision-Making

We do not use personal information collected through the public Site to make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects or similarly significant effects on individuals. If that changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any additional notice required by law.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the Site or by other appropriate means.

Cookie Policy

Effective Date: 1/1/2020 | Last Updated: 6/13/2024

This Cookie Policy explains how Premier IT Inc. d/b/a Premier Technologies ("Premier Technologies," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on www.premier-technologies.com. This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your browser or device when you visit a website. Similar technologies may include pixels, tags, software development kits, local storage, web beacons, scripts, and server-side identifiers. These technologies help websites function, remember preferences, improve performance, measure traffic, and enhance security.

2. Categories of Cookies We Use

A. Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are required for core website functionality and cannot be switched off in our systems where they are strictly necessary. They may be used to:

  • Remember cookie consent preferences;
  • Support page navigation and load balancing;
  • Maintain security, fraud prevention, and session integrity;
  • Enable forms, authentication, or portal access where applicable; and
  • Detect malicious traffic or misuse.

B. Performance and Analytics Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can measure traffic, identify issues, and improve content and performance. Depending on the tools enabled on your website, analytics cookies may collect information such as pages visited, approximate location, device/browser details, referral sources, session duration, clicks, scroll depth, and general interaction events.

Example tools may include privacy-friendly analytics tools, web server analytics, or third-party analytics platforms such as Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity only if and when implemented.

C. Functional Cookies

These cookies enable optional features and preferences, such as remembering language settings, chat preferences, accessibility settings, saved form progress, or other site personalization choices.

D. Marketing / Advertising Cookies

We do not currently use advertising cookies to sell personal information or to share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If we ever introduce advertising or remarketing technologies, we will update this Cookie Policy before doing so and, where required, obtain consent first.

E. Security and Fraud Prevention Technologies

We may use first-party or third-party security technologies to detect spam, bot activity, malicious requests, brute-force attempts, and other abuse. These tools may log technical signals such as IP address, user agent, request timestamps, and traffic patterns.

3. Cookie Consent and Regional Choices

For visitors in jurisdictions that require consent for non-essential cookies, such as the EEA, UK, and in some circumstances Switzerland, we use a cookie banner or consent manager to allow you to choose whether performance, analytics, or other non-essential technologies may be used. Strictly necessary cookies remain active because they are required for core website operation or security.

4. What Data Cookies and Tracking Technologies May Collect

  • IP address and coarse geolocation;
  • Browser type, browser version, language, device type, and operating system;
  • Pages viewed, content interactions, time on page, navigation paths, and referring URLs;
  • Cookie identifiers, session identifiers, and consent status;
  • Performance metrics such as page load time or error rates;
  • Form interaction or chat initiation data where enabled; and
  • Security signals used to detect abuse or malicious activity.

5. Cookie Duration

Some cookies are session cookies that expire when you close your browser. Others are persistent cookies that remain for a longer period so that the Site can remember your choices or recognize repeat visits. The lifespan depends on the purpose of the cookie and the tool used. Where feasible, your cookie banner or settings interface should provide more specific duration information for each enabled cookie.

6. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

Most browsers allow you to block, delete, or limit cookies through browser settings. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect website functionality, forms, or login features. Browser-level controls do not always remove server-side logs or prevent all non-cookie technologies from operating.

7. Do Not Track / Global Privacy Signals

Because our website does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not currently rely on ad-tech opt-out signals for those purposes. If applicable state law requires us to recognize browser-based privacy signals for future activities, we will describe our approach in this Cookie Policy or Privacy Policy.

8. Third-Party Providers That May Set Cookies or Receive Cookie-Derived Data

Depending on the tools implemented on the Site, third parties that may set cookies or receive information derived from cookies can include:

  • Web hosting and content delivery providers;
  • Website analytics providers;
  • Consent management platform providers;
  • Embedded content providers such as video, maps, meeting schedulers, or chat tools; and
  • Security or anti-spam providers.

9. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, technology, or our data practices. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date.
